A compilation

I have been derelict in my duties...I know. Here are the other pics I promised like 8 weeks ago, or something like that. Mav and I detoured to the Garrison Dam the last time we headed home to Williston. SOOOO much water and the sound...I couldn't believe how loud the rushing water was! Luke cooperated for Mav's pic, of course, and then decided to look the part of disgruntled baby for my pic. Still cute though (Luke, not me...in case any of you were confused). Also included are just a few of Luke doing his best to look like a little boy and not my little baby!!!

I could not wait to share this picture of my sweet little guy! He is the light of our lives and fills every day with love, laughter, and sunshine. I am working on some more pics but for the moment this should tide you over...

Introducing...the SPOON

Luke had his first real cereal (from a spoon!!!!) today! He made such a mess and some serious faces but did a really good job. He actually opened his mouth for the spoon and then had a really fun time spitting it right back out. Even covered in mushy, icky "cereal" HE IS SUCH A CUTIE!!! :)

I love giggles!!!

Mav was making Luke laugh today and it was soooo cute! Luke was so happy and his laugh was so contagious! He is such a happy boy and his laughter is THE best thing in the world!!!

Boys, boys, and more boys

We had visitors yesterday!!! :) Jess and the boys drove the extra miles AROUND Devils Lake to come and play with us! We met out for lunch, hung out at the house for a bit, and then went to the park  It was Luke's first park outing complete with toes in the grass! We put Preston to work mowing the grass (while Nater took a nap) and Luke and Owen played together on the playmat. It was sooooo nice to have them here and Luke and I loved every minute! And of course I couldn't resist throwing in some cute pics of my baby boy...he just lights up a room with his smile!!

the thumb wins...

Luke has been sucking his hands like crazy lately and trying to find his thumb. He hasn't quite figured out how to fold his fingers in but obviously the thumb is winning over the paci.

Baptism

Here are a few pics from Luke's baptism. It went by in such a blur! We had Luke dressed up in his little suit but he was down to his onesie in no time...it was way too hot in there!! But we were so glad to be surrounded by our friends and family and Luke's godparents Kelly and Mal - what a special moment to share with all of them!

Growth stats

So Luke's two month appointment went really well! He's has grown soooo much and is on his way to catching up to other little boys his age. He weighed 10 lbs, 14 oz (by now has probably slid past the 11 lb mark) and was 22.5 inches long. He is on track with everything else and she had no concerns regarding development. He is unbelievably strong (both in body and spirit :) and is gonna be moving around before we know it!
We also were sent this little t-shirt from Graham and so it is no longer a mystery as to what Luke's future profession will be...How perfect right? that he will become a Dog Show Judge!! :) All I can think of is that movie Best in Show...
