Pumpkin Patch!

Little Monkey

I watched Luke cram himself into the top shelf of this little cupboard today. Never thought he would actually climb all the way in!

THIS is what being a daddy means. Pure love. The look of joy that they both have reminds me how lucky I am to have these two boys in my life. Mav is the most amazing dad to our little bug and I think that Lucas's face says it all.

Playtime at the Park

This Friday we took Lucas to the park for a picnic and some playtime. That boy LOVES to be outside!

Weekend Remodel

So excited as Lucas finally got his new room!! After 2 straight days of work, here are some before and after pics. Forgot to take the "before" pic before I started so the trim is already painted white in these pics. Yes - that is linoleum! Also, after pics are when I ran out of steam so disregard the cream doors, scattered artwork, and mispelled "LUCAS"

AND in the middle of that, my mom and I "helped" Mav build the pergola for the deck. LOVE IT!!!

Playtime

We tried supervised coloring the other day...he did NOT find this interesting and proceeded to eat the crayons within the first minute. We will try coloring again later...

I saw this on Pinterest...its cornmeal. I thought that Lucas would really love it and would enjoy the mess it would make all over the place! He did sit and play for a bit and tried to scoop it from one pan to the other and even managed to eat a little bit of it. It was hilarious cause he dropped his paci and put it right back in before he realized that it was covered in cornmeal. He got this horrible look on his face and pulled it out and tried to pick the cornmeal off, bit by bit. He eventually gave up and must have decided it didn't taste that bad cause back in it went.

Easter

I took a few snapshots of Lucas opening his three Easter baskets but he didn't want to sit still OR focus on any one thing for more than a few secs. He whipped through those baskets pretty quick and did his best to eat, rip, tear and demolish along the way!

1st HAIRCUT!!!

I gave Lucas his first haircut tonight! Not the greatest haircut in the world but I think I did ok. I DID get a little picky and started cutting and cutting more and pretty soon it was a little bit shorter than I meant it to be. And I KNEW that this haircut would make my little baby look like a little man! Still the cutest little man in the world though!! :)

A lumberjack and blackmail photos

For Christmas, my mom bought Lucas this little shirt that Mav and I call his "lumberjack" outfit. It is sooo cute and he looks like a little mountain man! :) AND I can't wait to someday break out these silly little photos involving a little boy who loves to get into EVERYTHING!! Mav called me into the bathroom just so that I could get a good shot of Lucas doing his best to destroy my feminine supplies!! Oh...the embarrassment I will cause with these photos!!! :)

ANOTHER new place to call home

We are off!! Mav has accepted a position in Milbank, SD with Otter Tail and so we will be transfering there mid-March. We have already found a house and have set a closing date for March 15th. Mav is super excited because not only did we find a really nice house, but he now has the man cave of his dreams!! Our new house is on 5 acres, about 1 mile outside of Milbank and includes a 40x60 shop. It will be so nice for Mav to have room for his woodworking tools and for us to have tons (and tons and tons) of extra storage. We are sad to be moving a little farther from some of our family but are really excited to start this journey!
